How to connect

    Top up the balance

    Open the bot and top up your balance: the API pays for registrations and renewals from it.

    Create a key

    In the bot: open “Account”, then “API”. The key is issued after your first balance top‑up.

  3. 3

    Make your first request

    GET /v1/users/me shows the balance and key limits, and registration with dry_run=true shows the price with no charge.

The API itself is free. You pay only for domains at your account’s prices, and the money is charged to your balance.

In the @lumibp_bot bot: “Account”, then “API”. A key is issued after your first balance top‑up, and you can keep up to three keys at the same time and revoke any one of them.

No. Each registration sends its own separate set of generated contacts to the registry, which means you do not have to pass on either your own details or the details of your customers.

Registration and renewal accept the Idempotency‑Key header: a repeat with the same key returns the first result. With dry_run=true the request checks the names, the price and the balance without charging anything. Each key also has a daily spending limit.

120 units per minute per key, 20 paid requests and 200 paid items per minute. The X‑RateLimit‑Remaining header shows what is left, and when a limit is exceeded you get a 429 response with the time to wait.
